Magic Mountain Cottage: family- & dog-friendly

There is nowhere quite as magical as this: an historic, creaky cottage, owned by the same family for over 60 years, on the flanks of Cader Idris. It's a back-in-time experience, with wooden beams and antique furniture. Please read the details carefully before you book. It’s remote both in location and from modern life. You have space, fresh air, and tranquillity. It's comfortable but nothing fancy. There's no TV or wifi, a woodburner, and massive views behind the cottage of the Barmouth Estuary.

A 5 minute walk up the high street and you can hop into the Llanfair light steam railway, it is also where the A450 starts, which offers easy access to the welsh coast like Aberdovey (just over 1Hour drive away) driving through parts of Snowdonia mountains

Superb accommodation at an amazingly affordable price with fantastic reviews. Cefn Mawr is a cosy barn conversion that sleeps 2 to 6 people with 2 double bedrooms and a twin bedroom, a bathroom and an en suite. A further 2 guests may be accommodated using the double sofa bed in the living space. Luxurious kitchen and living space upstairs with stunning views down the valley. Secluded, peaceful and surrounded by rolling hills. Games barn with table tennis, pool and table football.

Spacious 4 bed cottage situated a stones throw from the beautiful Lake Vyrnwy. Ideal location for walkers, cyclists, families and couples just wishing to escape busy life. Learn to windsurf or take out a canoe or rowing boat on the lake. Spend the day clay pigeon shooting, or enjoy the spa and afternoon tea at the Lake Vyrnwy hotel. The caravan is situated in a lovely secluded paddock next to our house with views of the Snowdonia mountains and easy access to fantastic beaches and forests. All of our five listings are now completely self-contained with private facilities including shower and toilet so there is no need to have any contact with other guests. We have just changed the composting loo for a flush toilet - all mod cons!!
