Fishers’ Retreat - romantic, secluded, magical

Fishers’ Retreat is a medieval barn set in the secluded and magical rural setting of the Olchon Valley, it enjoys spectacular views of The Black Mountains and is a great base for hill walking. Very off-the-beaten-track. We are in the Brecon Beacons Dark Skies National Park. The pretty towns of Hay-on-Wye and Abergavenny are a short drive away. The enchanting Olchon Brook runs through the grounds of sloping fields and lake. These waters attract some rare wildlife including swallows and otters.

The Bothy Cottage @ Oak Farm

The Bothy, part of our 17th century Welsh farmhouse, offers a perfect base to explore Monmouthshire & the Brecon Beacons. Recently renovated, it has a spacious bedroom with a king size bed & bathroom with shower. Downstairs there’s a large living room w/sofabed and full kitchen. We provide freshly baked bread on arrival & home made marmalade & jam, butter, milk, tea & coffee. The Hall Inn iswithin easy walking distance and there's a log fire for nights in - ideal for a weekend in the country

Dulas Valley Shepherds Hut + hot tub with views

Our cosy, beautifully fitted Shepherd's Hut with its own wood-fired hot tub is perfect for a romantic rural getaway. Nestled on the fringes of mature woodland on a small working farm, the hut is secluded with open views over the breathtaking Dulas Valley in rural Herefordshire. Relax in the private outside area, with charcoal barbeque, hammock and fire pit, and explore local walks, pubs, market towns and historical sites. Dogs are welcome. This contemporary and comfortable barn is perfectly designed for a relaxing stay for up to 4 people. Located on the Sugar Loaf mountain, within the Brecon Beacons National Park. Abergavenny town is 1.5 miles away. Enjoy a BBQ on the patio in the summer, have your morning coffee relaxing on the balcony or on colder nights cosy up in front of the wood burning stove. It is a perfect spot for walking and exploring the Brecon Beacons - or for relaxing in a beautiful part of the countryside.

Chill out in our love-nest made for two in the beautiful Black Mountains! The cute wooden house has ALL mod cons, complete with small, perfectly formed kitchen, a wood burning stove (free logs) and a comfy double bed with spectacular pillow views of the Black Hill. In winter it’s all snuggling round the log burner with breath-taking views and wonderful walks, and in summer it’s outside living in a flower-rich meadow. Plus you will enjoy complete seclusion and peace and quiet!

We are in a great spot for the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, Bike Park Wales, Cannop Cycle Centre and the Offa’s Dyke Path. There are lovely walks right from the door and so much to do nearby!
