Newly remodeled fresh food market with a wood fired brick oven in Pawlet Village. The building is built over Flower Brook - there is a opening inside that looks down onto the water - ask to see it. Look for Cabot wheel cheddar - they'll cut it for you. Cabot only makes wheel cheese for the VT country stores. Also look for Earth Sky Time bread. It disappears, so morning or early afternoon is the best time to snag it - goes well with cheese. Check out their menu at machsmarket.com.

Great pizza and sandwiches! Full deli with great hot foods and salads. Good wine and beer selection. Local produce and A+ cheese and cracker selection. Recommend calling ahead for pizza orders.

The gourmet general store in the heart of Pawlet. Everything from wood fired pizza to beverages and fresh prepared food. This is a must visit.

Only market town and we are fortunate enough that its a good one! Ask to see the gorge from inside the restaurant. Next to two three cute restaurants too.
