Your blacksmithing adventure will include three hours of hands on instruction as you create your very own masterpiece. Your experience will start with a brief orientation to The Forge at Quiver Full Farm. During this orientation time we will make sure each participant is dressed and prepared with all necessary equipment to have a SAFE forging experience. We will be working with equipment that reach temperatures greater than 1800 degrees Fahrenheit. This experience requires participants to be attentive and be able to physically exert themselves. We will have all participants sign a safety liability waiver before starting. If you are under 18 years of age you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate. Jeremy will introduce you to all of the equipment that you will be using while creating your forged piece. He will give detailed and guided instruction on how to use these tools. From there you will choose one of several projects to create. Jeremy will be there to guide you, assist you, and maintain a safe working environment while you create your masterpiece. We will be exploring the world via street food in the one of the world’s most diverse areas just 15-20 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. We will be eating a lot. ALL food we order on the tour is included in the price! In this neighborhood of Queens, carts and trucks come out with some of the most delicious food to be had in NYC. Many places we visit are hole in the wall, hidden gems that aren't easily noticed if you were to walk through the neighborhood on your own. These are places that we frequent and where we eat often and want to share them with you! We'll also share more information about the neighborhood, vendors and cuisines so you can learn more along with getting a great meal. Often, the vendors will change by day, so each tour may be unique. Our journey may take you from Tibet to Mexico and more in between. You will have the opportunity to learn more about New York City from a native's perspective. Itineraries can be tweaked for dietary restrictions. Come with an open mind, comfortable shoes, empty stomach and we'll take care of the rest! Other things to note: We will be walking about two miles outdoors with minimal seating or tables.

Hug A Highland allows guests to visit our family owned and operated farm to brush, love, feed, and take nonprofessional pictures with our Scottish Highlands and miniature donkeys! It is a perfect way to get up close and personal with friendly farm animals. We're going to explore one of the true hidden wonders of Washington, D.C., a Civil War fort nestled deep in Rock Creek Park. In July, 1864, a Confederate Army attempted a surprise invasion of Washington, D.C., hoping to sow panic and drive Congress and President Lincoln from the Capitol. Confederate forces swept into the city, and fought a desperate battle among the northern defenses of Washington. President Lincoln rode over to the see the fighting, the only time in American history a president has been under enemy fire. Eventually Union forces repelled the attack, and Washington was saved. It’s considered one of the greatest what-ifs in American history: Had the Union lost the battle, most historians believe there would have been a negotiated settlement to the war, and a durable Confederate nation. We’re going to visit Fort DeRussy, one of the forts that drove back the Confederate attack, and learn the full story of how the Civil War came to Washington. Abandoned after the war and overgrown, Fort DeRussy was practically lost to history. Today, it’s virtually unknown: I grew up blocks away and didn't even know it was there. It's an astonishing, beautiful ruin in a peaceful forest grove. Other things to note Please check the weather in advance and dress accordingly. Every menu is created the morning of the dining experience. Moreover for the curious of hearts, I would be cooking and baking dishes, giving you a true peek into the world of fine dining in top kitchens. All this is in a day/evening's worth of time spent leisurely drinking and eating delicious meal in great company and hopefully the best story to tell in the forseeable future. To many, the world of Hasidic Jews is shrouded in mystery and secrecy—well, not anymore. On this experience, you get to see first hand the daily lives, rituals, and customs of the Hasidic community, guided by a member of the community and being able to access places seemingly closed off and hidden to the outsider. An opportunity to be able to ask any questions about the Jewish faith, culture, and philosophy. We kick off the experience inside a Hasidic home, and learning about what it takes to keep a Kosher home. Then its off to the streets of Crown Heights, starting with exploring the world famous “770” Synagogue, getting a glimpse into the hustle and bustle of daily prayer services. Next stop is a Jewish scribe, seeing up close the intricate details involved in producing the Torah Scrolls. Followed by a walk down the avenue, visiting the local shops, and seeing the traditions dating back to the early 1800’s. The Experience After being greeted on the farm, guests will be introduced to the goats while they are still in a fenced pasture. Once the goats are released, we will follow them in their meanderings while gently leading them to where we want to go (open meadows, woodlands, pond) depending on weather conditions and the state of the terrain. As we shepherd the goats, we will observe what they are choosing to eat and how they are interacting with each other. Guests will learn to listen to their bells to locate them and to call them. Moments of blissful silence will alternate with passionate conversation about what it takes to grow healthy food. The walk can take up to 2 hours depending on the weather and everybody's disposition. You will be participating in the goats' meal plan, so we will set out on time, at 10am. The goats are hungry in the morning! Pets and Children Unfortunately, pets are not welcome due to the high level of interaction with the goats. This experience is best suited for children ages 10+. What to Bring Please cover your ankles, legs, and arms for protection against brambles, burrs, and bugs. Hiking shoes or boots are best, they are sturdy and will provide good support for the walk. I always encourage bringing a water bottle and a seasonal hat. Other things to note The goats travel across all sorts of terrain: up and downhill, through marshes and creeks, in open fields and shady woodlands. The walkabout is at a relaxed pace and will cover around a mile.

This unique three-part, 3 hours walking tour will begin where Manhattan began - at the National Museum of the American Indian. Each part of the tour will last approximately 1 hour. This first leg of the tour will start in Lower Manhattan. Specifically, Bowling Green, where the first enslaved Africans started building the infrastructure of the city, and end at Wall St. where the enslaved Africans were brought and sold. The second leg of the tour will start in the Financial District. We will walk up Wall St to Federal Hall - a site next to a famous free African who owned and operated a famous Oyster House in 1825. The last leg will start around the Brooklyn Bridge, including the African Burial Ground National Monument plaza. This tour is great for groups, team-building, and field trips, and it's especially beneficial for school-age children. Depending on the mood and convenience of the group, we can stop for snacks at any time. Each location is based on a specific chapter in my book. There will be several restroom breaks. Please note that finding parking is extremely difficult in Lower Manhattan. Indoor garages will cost between $35-40. I advise using public transportation or car service.

Join us for a 2-hour coastal tour through Tanner's Pass and Lunenburg's back passage — a pristine part of the Atlantic Ocean. Our tour is in a professional, 19-foot Zodiac MilPro HD. These popular vessels are the black, inflatable boats you find on expedition ships around the world. They're also the boats we operate as photographers and guides in Antarctica and the Canadian sub-arctic. So what will we see? It is common to see numerous seals, osprey, great blue herons, various sea birds, mink, and deer as we Explore the South Shore. We’ll also talk about flora and geology as we cruise the area. It truly is one of the prettiest parts of Nova Scotia! There are two things we cannot control; wildlife and weather. That said, we keep a close eye on marine weather forecasts and if we have any safety concerns, we will reach out asap. We operate rain or shine so please be prepared to get at least a little wet. Let me take you kayaking on the world's biggest tides, on the Bay of Fundy. We will paddle in the spectacularly scenic and remote Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Geopark, where North America once separated from Africa, and the evidence is still visible in the cliffs today: Lava flows, fossils, colourful rock formations steeped in indigenous storytelling, and arches to paddle through. A highlight of the tour are the Three Sisters rock spires, which we will kayak through while I take photographic memories to take home. We will stop at a remote beach that used to be one of the busiest shipyards along the Fundy shore during the age of sail. Today, it is a heaven of serenity, where we might find remnants of the past in an old horseshoe or parts of the historic wharf once the tide recedes. Here, we might see a bald eagle fly over, hear kingfishers chatter and see curious seals poke their heads out of the Bay. We settle down on driftwood for a home-made meal fresh from my organic garden. Upon paddling back, the tide will be well into the ebb, so areas where we previously paddled through are now sitting high and dry - an incredible sight. The paddling time both ways is about 1.5 hrs, with an hour for the picnic. I will provide all the gear needed, food, photos and instructions on how to paddle and steer the kayaks, and am a certified kayaking guide.

Welcome to our Alpaca Farm! Upon arrival, you will be met by some of our Alpacas. Though they may be some distance away grazing in their rolling mountain pasture or relaxing in one of the barns, they will certainly acknowledge your presence with a curious stare. We start your experience with a short walk to a nearby pasture to observe and learn about the alpacas and our farms story. Standing by the fence, we will introduce you to the alpacas, discuss farm safety and answer any questions. Usually the alpacas are interested in what we are talking about and will generally come up to join in the conversation. As your experience winds down we invite you to the “Farm Store” for all things alpaca. In the store, we explain how their fiber is converted from raw fiber to luxurious clothing. At the conclusion of your experience we invite you to bring a picnic and dine along the banks of Cove Creek while you take in the beautiful mountain vistas.

Please take time to read thru all details before booking. We will meet at front of farm house. We will start at the top of the field walking around our pastures, checking our fences along way enjoying the peacefulness that nature brings and heading into the forest and around the pastures up hills and forest where our highland cows reside. Sharing with you about out breed of cows and what they are known for. We will explore how they interact with each of us their mannerisms and irresistible cuteness. While circling the pastures we have other animals you may interact with that include 5 Scottish highland cows and their calves who were born during the year, our goats and our sweet rescue horse Eli &livestock guardian dogs. We will end our visit at the west pasture sharing treats with the animals and brushing the cows. Other things to note please Wear good closed toe tennis shoes for hike and clothes you may not mind getting dirty, to interact with animals. Hiking stick, jacket if cold, bottle of water. May not be a good fit- Disability or limitation of doing a moderate hike. Families with children 6 or younger message us privately to book we have a tour made specifically for little ones. No dogs please as not all dogs like cows. Weather back up plan-don’t worry we will see cows.. but will replace hike with the historic farmhouse tour listed under our experiences.

We will begin the tour by giving loads of information about goat care and dairy farming. Guests will have the option to play and interact with goats. You’ll definitely want to wear shoes that can stand getting dirty for this part. We will finish the tour with an elaborate tasting of the 10 fresh cheese varieties we make weekly on the farm. We conduct our tours rain or shine. We have spare umbrellas if needed.

Looking for a fun outdoor activity for the family? Need to de-stress from the craziness of life? Cuddling with animals offers the opportunity to relax your mind and let go of the stress and anxiety for brief period. Not to mention, it's just FUN! During your visit, you will have one hour to cuddle and pet the animals on our micro-farm. Being that this is an outdoor experience, we are really not set up to do cuddle sessions during inclement weather. If we are expecting bad weather for your booked hour, I'm happy to work with you on re-scheduling for a nicer day or time. We currently have lots of Nigerian Dwarf goats of varying ages, a 2.5 year-old miniature Zebu named Molly, a rescue steer named Ferdinand, and two pigs named Charlie and Ellie. We also have numerous chickens, as well as our Holland Lop bunnies Oliver and Willow. ** For the health and safety of both our animals and yours, we do not allow outside animals to visit the farm. ** **We do not have a public bathroom on-site, since this is our home. For your convenience, we do offer a Porta-John with hand sanitizer** **For those interested, we do offer our pasture raised eggs and homemade goat milk soap available for purchase from our farm store during your visit.** **If you book a private event, please be sure to state how many people are in your group.**

Take a guided horseback riding tour on our 300+ acres of private mountain trails lead by an experienced guide. After signing up and meeting the horses, we will show you the skills you need to ride through our trails. You will be accompanied by an experienced trail guide the entire time. This is a beginner friendly ride, most of the ride is walking, we go at the pace of the least experienced rider in the group. If you would like to do some more trotting, don't want to ride in a group, or are experienced, we recommend booking a private ride. The ride itself is 1 hour long and is done in a western saddle. The minimum age is 7 years to ride. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or requests before booking!

private and small group surf lessons at Beach 67 in the Rockaways! OTHER TIMES AVAILABLE- just ask! lesson time is structured as below. Late arrivals will be accommodated when possible, but you may have a hard end at the original stop time. 15 minutes: get suited and workshop technique on land 60 minutes: surf time! 15 minutes: change, review your session, and ask any questions! We will meet at the beach where we will get you on the right size board for your size and your level of experience. We will go through a quick stretch and run thru a few practice paddles and pop-ups to get us ready to rip! After that we will spend a few moments looking at the water where I will explain the current conditions, explain why we will choose the section of beach we are choosing, give a few pointers on wave selection, and then we will head out into the water together. You will be on the board and I will be at your side at all times. Once in the water we will review water safety on the surf board and I will show you how we pick waves. When the waves come I will instruct you when to paddle, give a small push on the board, and coach you on when to pop up and make any corrections to your stance so that you can get the longest ride possible. For intermediate lessons I will paddle out with you and coach via my voice (no push) and help you to catch your own waves with confidence.

From begining to end. You will learn the French techniques. We will use all top quality ingredients. You will also bake them. After your done.
