Kicking the wall at the half-way point of a walk, before turning back, is a tradition which goes back through the generations. It’s said to bring good luck. In 2012, someone came up with the bright idea of putting a collection box for charity at the “kicking wall” The harder you kick the more the locals enjoy 😀
