This church remotes from the Imperial age in Brazil. It was where it took place the Coronations of Emperor Pedro I (on 1 December 1822) and his successor, Pedro II (on 18 July 1841), for example.

The royal church when Rio was the capital of the Portuguese crown. It's very beautiful. There's an interesting guided tour.
