The Samoa Dunes Recreation Area lies just west of Eureka between Humboldt Bay and the Pacific Ocean. A great place to hike, fish, watch birds, surf, take pictures, swim or have a picnic.

From Eureka, turn west on Hwy 255, cross Samoa Bridge; 5 miles south on New Navy Base Road. Also known as the North Jetty. 9 miles of beach to explore!
